Drottning
Here’s Your Learn Swedish Word of the Day
(en) drottning – (-ar, -na) – queen; regina
Vad tycker du om drottningen? (What do you think of the queen?)
As you may or may not know, the medieval monarchy is still alive and well in
Sweden. Of course your average Swede will not admit this. They will most
likely tell you that they live in a “social democracy” or “unitary
parliamentary democracy” in a feeble attempt to convince you that they have
actually crawled out of the Dark Ages, but this is complete hogwash.
Although Swedes can in a sense “vote” on a few limited and paltry issues,
they have no say whatsoever when it comes to how the royal family spends the
taxpayers’ money. Every year the royal family spends millions upon millions
of the taxpayers’ money on their own weddings, educations, vacations,
clothes, jewelry, etc without ever asking the permission of the taxpayers.
No one in the royal family has a real job. Every penny they spend comes from
the pockets of Swedes who actually worked hard providing goods and services
for their fellow citizens. The money is taken by force and the royal family
spends it however they please. If you don’t pay taxes, then police officers
with guns come to your house and put you in jail.
I don’t know. Sounds like a monarchy to me, yet Swedes are taught in school
that the royal family no longer has any power and that they are just there
for show. It’s the oldest trick in the book. Convince the people that you
don’t have any power, and they will not resist you. Without resistance, you
can have complete power over the people. It works like a charm too because I
haven’t met a Swede yet who calls the monarchy into question. As long as the
monarchy isn’t being called into question, the royal family can continue
living out their luxurious and decadent lives for generations to come
without ever having to work for a living. So the king says whatever he needs
to in order to keep the tax wheel rolling…”What, me have power? no, no,
no, I have no power, you the people have the power, I am just your humble
public figure”. Whatever.
Sweden is not alone here. Every country has it’s method for stealing your
money. Some countries manage to hide it better, but in the end they are all
the same. A country is nothing more than a giant corporation that employs
you by force. You never had a choice in the matter. You were born into
slavery. Today we just seem to accept government as a natural part of life,
while forgetting that the governments of today were the street gangs of
yesteryear. The guys who didn’t wanna work for a living and decided instead
to go from town collecting taxes by force. If you paid, they promised you
protection from the other gangs of bandits. If you didn’t pay, they killed
you and turned your wife and daughter into sex slaves. The gangs fought for
territory rights in order to collect the most taxes, and the winners of
those gang wars went on to become the governments and countries that we have
today.
We let ourselves be easily ruled by these thugs because our bodies, minds,
and spirits have become listless. They have become soft and
non-confrontational from years of school and television. One of the fastest
and most effective ways to make your mind sharp is by mastering a new
language. Learning a new language forces your brain to question all it’s old
patterns. The more you question your old patterns, the more clearly you will
be able to think, and the less easily you will be manipulated by “authority
figures”.
